The Anti-Aging Center at Make You Well is Hiring a X-Ray Technician / Medical Assistant Near Torrance, CA
Make You Well Center is a state-of-the-art Urgent Care and Family Practice that provides a wide range of services to our local communities. Our mission is to promote the health and well-being of the local population, by providing accessible, high-quality medical care for people of all ages.
We seek an X-ray Technician/ Medical Assistant to work full time from Mon-Friday 9 am-6 pm.
Responsibilities/ Clinical Duties (may include, but not limited to):
- Perform diagnostic procedures as required; achieve a high level of film quality
- Prepare images for reading by the radiologist or requesting physician
- Maintain radiology equipment to optimal standards; notify appropriate clinic staff of any problems
- Complete all forms and maintain records, visit logs, and reports of work performed according to standard protocols
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment; assist with troubleshooting and problem-solving of equipment and systems as directed
- Room patients, obtain vitals, administer injections, blood draws, EKG, obtain patient history and reason for seeking care.
- Provide lab results.
- Prepare patients for examination.
- Assist the provider during exams and procedures.
- Explain treatment procedures to patients.
- Maintain patient records confidentiality.
- Assist the provider with patient education pertaining to their ongoing health care.
- Act professionally and exhibit courtesy, friendliness, and a positive attitude when interacting with co-workers, patients, patient's family, client staff, physicians and others
- Build effective and positive working relationships, foster good teamwork, and contribute to a positive work environment
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited educational program
- Certified and licensed to practice as an X-Tech in the state of CA
- Must be proficient with HIPAA and CLIA guidelines
- Must be a self-starter who can work with little to no supervision
